35-yr-old attacks 'lover', sons; commits suicide
New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) A 35-year-old man today allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train in Adarsh Nagar area of North-West Delhi after making a lethal attack on his 'lover' and her two children leading to the death of one.
Accused Madanlal attacked his 'lover' Kiran, when she refused to serve him tea after he went to visit her at her Azadpur slums dwelling this morning, said a senior police official.
''Madanlal, who had a relationship with Kiran for some time, went to see her this morning and asked for tea which she refused. They then had an argument after which he attacked the family with a sickle injuring her and her two sons badly.'' While Chandan (15) died soon after, Kiran and her younger son Pankaj (12) were admitted to the hospital in a serious condition, he said.
''Madanlal, who lived in the slums there, later went to a nearby railway line in Azadpur under Adarsh Nagar police station and jumped before a train and killed himself.'' His body has been sent for post mortem and the weapon of offence recovered, the official added.
