TTD performs Bhoomi Pooja for tank in temple

Tirumala, Aug 23 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) Executive Officer K V Ramanachary today performed Bhoomi Pooja for Ananthalwar Tank in Tirumala.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Hyderabad-based Indus Prihect Managing Director I Shyam Sunder Reddy would develop the tank, adjacent to the garden at an estimated cost of Rs four crore.

Mr Ramanachary said the 1000-year-old sacred tank was dug by Ananthalwar as urged by Ramanuja Charya and constructed a garden to cultivate flowers for offering puja to Lord Balaji.

Temple JEO G Balaramaiah and TTD Chief Engineer V S B Koteswara Rao, were among others, who participated in the pooja.
