Total lunar eclipse on Aug 28, partially visible in India

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) A total eclipse of the Moon will occur from 1421 hrs to 1754 hrs on August 28, and will be partially visible in India.

The partial phase will only be visible at the extreme northeastern part of the country and Andaman and Nicobar Islands at the time of ending of the eclipse, an official announcement said here today.

It will be visible at 1732 hrs from Port Blair, 1736 hrs from Dibrugarh, Sibsagar and Ukhrul, 1738 hrs from Imphal and Kohima, 1739 hrs from Tamenlong, 1741 hrs from Itanagar, 1742 hrs from Aizwal and Silchar, 1744 hrs from Nowgang and Tezpur, 1747 hrs from Shillong, and 1748 hrs from Guwahati and Agartala, a Science and Technology Ministry press release said.
