Three new ITIs in NE,, J
New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Three new ITIs will be set up in the North East-- two in Sikkim and one in Assam-- at a cost of Rs 13.70 crore, and the ITIs in Jammu and Kashmir modernised at an outlay of Rs 37 crore.
This was decided at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs here today, Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters.
The CCEA also approved the continuation of Centrally-sponsored Rs 100 crore scheme relating to 'Establishment of new Industrial Training Institutes in North Eastern States and Sikkim', he said.
