3 BSF personnel dismissed from services
Cooch Behar, Aug 23: Two Head constables and a constable of BSF posted here were sumarily dismissed from services for their alleged involvement in a smuggling racket at a border post dividing India and Bangladesh, BSF top official said.
BSF's Cooch Behar Range DIG P J Rao told sources that Head Constables G M Goel and Chandra Gorey and constable Sapta Narayan of 46th battalion posted at Sitalkooch Lalbazar were discharged yesterday from their services with immedaite effect.
He said the punitive action was taken after a departmental inquiry found that they were involved in smuggling of cattle heads and other goods across the border. The inquiry followed complaints from the civilians about the racket.
