Rupee opened at 41.80/82 per US dollar
Mumbai, Aug 23: Following the third consecutive day, Rupee today further took a leap of about ten paise against the US dollar and opened at 40.80/82 per dollar as compared to the previous close of 40.89/90 per dollar.
The local currency touched the low of 40.82 per dollar and a high of 40.78 during the morning trade, dealers said.
''The market is expected to witness a rangebound trading in the later sessions as further inflows may provide another push to the rupee,'' said a senior forex dealer at the leading private commercial bank.
