Pawar did not hint at mid-term polls: CP

Mumbai, Aug 23 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party spokesman Prakash Binsale today clarified that party chief Sharad Pawar's call to partymen to be prepared for elections was with a view to activate them and not a hint about mid-term polls.

''Nobody wants mid-term polls and there is no such possibility also,'' Mr Binsale told reporters here today.

After the present stand-off between the Left and the Congress over nuclear agreement with USA, Mr Pawar, at a private meeting of party workers, had asked them to be prepared for elections.
