Nano Tech Training Centre in Ramnagar: HDK

Ramanagara (Karnataka), Aug 23: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that a Nano Technology Training Centre will be established here soon.

Speaking after inaugurating newly formed Ramanagara District, bifurcated from Bangalore Rural District, he said that in the coming days this district would be a central point for various experimental activities and a Nano Technology Training Centre would be opened here.

Indicating that he would be a free man after October 3 (after transfer of power to BJP as per Coalition agreement), Mr Kumaraswamy said that " after October three I will be a free man and I will strive for the development of Ramnagara and make it a model district in all respect".

"Even my brother and Minister for Power H D Revanna would work with me for the overall development this district. We would work as two bullocks in a field to see that the people did not suffer due to lack of any facilities", he added.

Mr Kumaraswamy said that already Rs 26,420 lakhs worth various welfare schemes have been taken up in Ramnagara and in all Rs 1,172 Crore had already been spent for various developmental activities.

He said that the district was formed to help people since they need not come to State Capital for all their works instead get it done in their place.

Stating that he was satisified today since he fulfilled his ambition of making Ramanagara as a District, Mr Kumaraswamy said that "let Ramanagara become a model district in the country and people should take advantage of this to improve their economic condition." Deputy Commissioner B S Yediyurappa, in his address, said that the government has decided to issue a ciruclation to all the District Commissioners instructing the officials to visit each and every village and findout widows, Physically handicapped and aged eligible for pension and distribute them at their door steps.

Minister for Revenue Jagadish Shettar said that new Districts were formed to take government to the doorsteps of poor and downtrodden.

Minister for Housing, D T Jayakumar reiterated that Mr Kumaraswamy should continue as Chief Minister for rest of the peirod since the duration of his (Mr Kumaraswamy) tenure was very short to fulfill the aspirations of the people.

"If Mr Kumaraswamy continues to be Chief Minister after October 3, the State may progress further", he added.
