Malwa Khalsa School, MRS Academy win

Chandigarh, Aug 23 (UNI) Malwa Khalsa School, Ludhiana and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Academy, Amritsar secured full points from their semi-final matches in the sixth edition of the S N Vohra Memorial Sub-Junior Under-14 Hockey Tournament here today.

Malwa Khalsa School gave a hockey lesson to GRM School of New Delhi whom they routed by 6-0.The facile victory was made possible due to brilliant stickwork by Akshdeep and Kulbir Singh who scored three goals each.

Akshdeep was adjudged the man of the match.

In the second semi-final league match, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy defeated Baba Uttam Singh Hockey Academy of Khadoor Sahib by 3-1.

Man of the Match Ramandeep Singh scored a brace for the winners.

Gurprit scored a field goal for the Amritsar team. Simrandeep reduced the margin for Khadoor Sahib by converting a penalty corner in the 37th minute.
