India hopes to seal economic pact with Japan

New Delhi, Aug 23: Indian Trade Minister Kamal Nath said that New Delhi hopes to finalize an economic partnership agreement with Tokyo soon.

The deal is expected to include a free trade agreement and investment promotion measures. Indian government officials predict that trade between Asia's largest and third-largest economies could double to around $14 billion by 2012.
