Idol thief racket unearthed, 6 held

Gonda, Aug 23 (UNI) Police today arrested six people of an idol thief racket and seized stolen idols worth Rs two crore here from them.

In a joint operation by district police and Special Operation Group sleuths, six members of the gang were held from a temple near Bhavniyapur railway station.

Seven idols were recovered from their possession, police said.

Investigations were on they added.
