Hungarian ministry fluffs its lines in award drama

BUDAPEST, Aug 23 (Reuters) Hungary's national day awards this week took a dramatic turn when it came to presenting medals for film and theatre.

The Culture Ministry decided to honour film director Peter Forgacs at Monday's ceremony, but by mistake it invited his namesake, actor and theatre director Peter Forgacs, to accept the award.

Actor Forgacs realised the error only when the minister began to read out his namesake's citation and called him up to accept the medal.

The ministry said the error was caused by a computer glitch and film director Forgacs, who did not even know he was receiving an award, would be given his medal later.
