Every distt in Punjab gets Tranquilising guns
Moga, Aug 23 (UNI) For controlling the stray as well as wild animals, the Department of Animals Husbandry has provided ''Tranquilising Guns'' to every district.
The guns, which were earlier available only with the Chhat Bir Zoo authorities, were now available with the office of senior Veterninary Doctors, Dr Darshan Singh, Joint Director Department of Animal Husbandry today said.
This would also reduce the incidents of killing of stray wild animals by farmers, he hoped.
The long standing demand of the Department was taken up by cabinet minister Gulzar Singh Ranike (Animal Husbandry Minister) and guns were purchased recently to be provided at all district headquarters, he said.
