Cop arrested while accepting bribe

Supaul, Aug 23 (UNI) The state vigilance bureau today arrested the station incharge of Piprah police station in this district of Central Bihar while accepting bribe.

Bureau sources here said a vigilance sleuth arrested station incharge Satya Narayan Singh when he was accepting Rs 7000 as the final instalment of Rs 15000 bribe to settle a dispute pending against one Rubina Khatoon from Salkhua in the district.

Ms Rubina had informed the bureau officials about the bribe after which the vigilance laid the trap and nabbed the station incharge.

The arrested cop was being brought to Patna for further interrogation and his subsequent production in the court.
