CADD with US-based Primavera to train Indian professionals

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Leading computer aided design company CADD Centre today said it has entered into a strategic alliance with the US-based software company Primavera Systems Inc to train professionals using project management technology and will also sell this technology to other educational institutions.

''This training will help professionals mainly engineers and students to accurately manage projects in schedule within budget,'' CADD Centre Director S Karaiadi Selvan told reporters here.

CADD centre will serve as both a reseller of Primavera project management software to educational institutions in India, as well as a training centre, providing Primavera certified training courses to professionals and students, he said.

Primavera System Inc Country Manager (India) Gaurav Hazra said, ''There are some 12,000 educational institutions in the country and out of that 5,000 impart technical education.'' The company targets these 5,000 technical institutions and plans to cover 50 per cent of these institutions by the next two years, added Mr Hazra.

CADD Centre aims to increase its revenue through imparting training to Rs 50 crore by the end of this fiscal from Rs 35 crore revenue in the previous fiscal.

''Our target is to reach Rs 50 crore revenue through training by the end of current fiscal and increase it to Rs 100 crore by March 2010,'' said Mr Hazra.

The Centre also plans to increase its centres to 300 by March 2010 from the present 220 centres across the country.

The CADD centre has trained over 3,00,000 engineers and graduates and is a training partner for over 3,200 corporate customer countrywide.
