Ayodhya case hearing on Aug 30

Lucknow, Aug 23 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today posted to August 30, the hearing on the application of senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar in the Ayodhya demolition case.

The CBI had challenged the acquittal in the demolition case by filing three separate revision petitions in the HC.

One of the accused, Katiyar filed an application objecting to the role of CBI as a prosecuting agency.

He contended that legally only Uttar Pradesh government could file the revision petition and CBI could not function as a prosecuting agency.

Justice Vinod Prasad heard both the parties and fixed August 30 for next hearing.
