Amendment to payment Bill, 2006 to improve safety, security

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) The Cabinet today approved amendments to the Payment and the Settlement Systems Bill, 2006, based primarily on the recommendations of the Standing Committee of Parliament on Finance.

The amendments to the Bill, pending with the Lok Sabha, would ensure a safe, secure and sound payments system, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
