Actor Jahnvi's son refuses to go with father

Lucknow, Aug 23 (UNI) Actor Jahnvi Kapoor's 10-year-old son Mohd Ali appeared before Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today and refused to live with his father Kalbe Hussain Naqvi, son of prominent Shia cleric Kalbe Sadiq.

Jhanvi alias Haya Fatima alias Naina Rizvi came in the limelight after she created ruckus at Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan's Juhu residence 'Prateeksha' in Mumbai on April 20, during the marriage ceremony of Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai.

Hearing the habeas corpus petition of Mr Naqvi seeking custody of his son from estranged wife Jahnvi, a bench had recently summoned Sayyed Kalbe Ali Naqvi alias Mohd Ali.

Appearing before a bench comprising Justice Vinod Prasad, Ali said he wanted to live with his maternal grandmother Shahina Aga in Kashmir.

Ali stated ''When I was two-year-old, Kalbe Hussain Naqvi had thrown me in a nullah after beating me back and blue. I do not want to live with my father at any cost.'' Kalbe had claimed that the future of Ali was insecure in Jhanvi's hands.

The petitioner claimed that he had legally separated from his wife on September 22, 2001, following irreconcilable differences. The petition also made a mention of the ruckus created by Jhanvi in Mumbai.

On behalf of Shahina, advocate Dr L P Mishra told the Bench that a criminal case was pending against Kalbe. Therefore, the futute of Ali was insecure in his hands.

UNI
