Works under CDF, MPLADS only after tenders: JK Govt

Srinagar, Aug 22 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today informed the state Legislative Assembly that directions have been issued to executing agencies to allot works under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and the Member Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) only after inviting tenders.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Qazi Mohammad Afzal stated this in reply to a question by NC member Mohammad Syed Akhoon in the Lower House.

Mr Afzal said the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and other departments have been asked to ensure proper tenders and allotment of works under CDF and MPLADS in accordance with the decisions taken during the District Development Board meeting on June 19 this year.
