Nuke turbulence will fade away: PM
New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said his government was confident that the ''turbulence'' over the Indo-US nuclear deal could be overcome.
''Certainly, there is some turbulence here in Delhi but I am confident that we shall overcome it,'' he told reporters who wanted to know whether the government would operationalise the deal despite the Left parties threat of withdrawal of their outside support.
This was the first time Dr Singh was making public comments on the stand-off with the Left on the issue. He made the remarks during a joint press interaction after talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
''There is a saying when winter comes, can spring be away,'' he said in an attempt to explain his optimism.
