Nagaland PCCF suspended

Kohima, Aug 22: Nagaland Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) and Chairman of Nagaland Pollution Control Board Dr CL Goel has been suspended for illegally retaining departmental funds.

Nagaland Chief Secretary Lalhuma in a release here today said that Nagaland Governor had considered it necessary and desirable to place Dr Goel under suspension to facilitate impartial and uninterrupted inquiry.

The Governor, in exercise of Rule 3(1) of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal Rules), 1969, had placed him under suspension with immediate effect for the period, during which disciplinary proceedings would be held against him.

Dr Goel will not be allowed to leave the city without prior permission of the Chief Secretary, the release said.
