Munde terms decision to support Jhambad as correct
Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) The strained relations between Shiv Sena-BJP came to the fore with BJP ignoring the Sena candidate in the Aurangabad-Jalna local body constituency and deciding to support, independent candidate Subhash Jhambad, who is backed by the NCP.
Talking to reporters, BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde said ''we have decided to support Mr Jhambad after a thorough thought''.
He admitted that, being the alliance partner, there was a request of support for Sena candidate Kishanchand Tanwani but the party decided to ignore the same.
After an Sena enterded support to Mrs Pratibha Patil in the presidential election, the relations betwen the two parties have been strained.
