MNF smears balm on ex-rebels' wound
Aizawl, Aug 22 (UNI) The MNF government has decided to directly recruit 77 ex-rebels of Mizo National Front (MNF) and assign jobs on contract basis to other returnees.
Returnees, who are too old to get government jobs will be given contract or supply works, or their children will be given government jobs, the MNF ministry informed mediapersons.
''The government ultimately yeilded to the 'indefinite hunger strike' organised by Peace Accord MNF Returnees' Association (Pamra) to force government actions.'' ''The fast-unto-death strike has been called off after insurgent leader-turned-Chief Minister Zoramthanga's assurance to set up an 'implementation committee' to look into their demands,'' the sources said.
