Maharashtra gets 898.2 mm rainfall so far
Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) Maharashtra has received 898.2 mm rainfall all over the state and so far the sowing of Kharif season on 17,777 hectare land has been completed.
An official release issued here today said the dams in the state has got 76 per cent of water storage due to rainfall from June to August.
The sowing of oil seeds on 31283 hectares, foodgrains on 72247 hectares and pulses on 26367 hectares has been completed.
In all, the state had Kharif crop sowing on 134.18 lakh hectares.
