Govt seeks management institute's help on IICA

Chennai, Aug 22 (UNI) City based Great Lakes Institute of Management has been asked by Ministry of Corporate Affairs to partner with the ministry in preparing a detailed Project Report for establishing Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in New Delhi(IICA).

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India plans to launch this Management Institute on the lines of IIMs.

Announcing the significant development at a press conference here, Bala V Balachandran, Founder and Honorary Dean of Great Lakes, said "the Institute was happy that the Centre has invited us to establish a world class Management Institution".

"We are delighted to be asked by the Govt of India, to share the intricacies of establishing a new Management Institution of world class. Great Lakes Institute of Management would provide all necessary support - from creating the curriculum, to bringing in world-class facility," Mr Balachandran said.

Within a short span of three years, Great Lakes has managed to carve itself a unique name as an Institute that offers world-class education, he said.
