Cattle smuggler shot dead

Basirhat, Aug 22 (UNI) Border Security Force jawans shot dead a cattle smuggler at Amudia bordering Bangladesh under Swarupnagar police station in North 24 Parganas today.

According to BSF sources, patrolling party of the BSF guarding the international border opened fire as some smugglers were trying to cross the border with cattles.

The deceased was reportedly a Bangladeshi, sources said.
