575 pilgrims leave for Buddha Amarnath

Jammu, Aug 22 (UNI) A fresh batch of 575 pilgrims today left for Baba Buddha Amarnath shrine in the bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

A convoy of 13 buses, left for Chattani Baba from Jammu while another bus carrying 25 yatris joined it on the way at Akhnoor.

The fifth batch of pilgrims, including 149 women and six children, will proceed from Poonch for Baba Buddha Amarnath shrine, close to the line of control, tomorrow morning.
