Students demand speedy investigation into murder case

Mahoba, Aug 21 (UNI) Students of Dr Hedgewar Rajki College have warned of massive agitation if proper investigation was not made into the mysterious death of their fellow student here.

Showing their aggression over the death of Rashmi, students boycotted classes yesterday.

In a letter to the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police, they demanded speedy investigation and warned of agitation if the murder mystery was not solved within three days.

Rashmi, daughter of Rakesh Thapak and a BA final year student in Dr Hedgewar Rajki College, was recently found dead at Arjun Dam.

Rashmi's father had alleged that his daughter was raped and later murdered.

However, police registered a case of suicide, when postmortem report gave no clue of murder.

They also released the three convict in the case, including Rashmi's paramour.
