Nearly 800 pilgrims leave for Buddha Amarnath

Jammu, Aug 21 (UNI) A third batch of nearly 800 pilgrims left for Baba Buddha Amarnath, close to the Line of Control (LoC) in the bordering district of Poonch, from the Ved Mandir complex here this morning.

A convoy of 738 pilgrims, including 660 men, 74 women and 04 children, left for Chattani Baba in 19 vehicles, including 18 buses and nine light motor vehicles (LMV), from Ved Mandir while 50 more pilgrims, by one bus, joined the convoy at Akhnoor.

The yatra will reach Poonch by evening and leave will tommorow early in the morning for Buddha Amarnath to have the darshan of Lord Shiva's lingam there.
