Man throws infant son into river after tiff with wife

Azamgarh, Aug 21 (UNI) A six-month-old boy was thrown in the river by his alcoholic father in Sidhari area of the district today.

Police said Chandrashekhar Yadav alias Guddu was a habitual drinker.

This morning, he sold utensils of his house to consume liquor, which led to a quarrel with his wife.

In a fit of rage, Guddu threw his infant son Rajan in the river.

The accused also tried to throw his other three-year-old son in the river, but was prevented by the locals from doing so.

Later, police arrested him.
