Hyundai India awarded five-star certification

Chennai, Aug 21 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India, one of the leading car manufacturers and India's largest car exporter, was today awarded "the Premier Trading House Certificate", a five-star certification for exporting four lakh cars.

Additional Export Commissioner, office of Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade M Sai Kumar handed over the award to Hyundai Executive Director (Procurement and Supplies) H J Shin, a company release here said.

"Hyundai has exported four lakh cars as on July 31 and has crossed the Rs 10,000 crore mark which merits the prestigious certification", the release said.

Commenting on the award, Hyundai Managing Director H S Lheem said the company was honoured and delighted to receive the premier house status as recognition of accomplishment.

"The certification will help us fecilitate further exports and will empower Hyundai India to play a vital part in India's growth as an exporter", he said.

The five-star certification would help Hyundai in terms of facilitation in export import transactions. It would enable the company to get licence and custom clearance for both export and imports on self declaration.

The company would also be exempted from compulsory negotiation of documents through bank with the remittance to be received through the bank, the release added.
