Copper thieves gang busted

Anand, Aug 21 (UNI) The police have arrested a four-member gang from the old water tank area here for allegedly stealing copper wires and coils from the GIDC, Vithalnagar on July 17.

The gang members were arrested yesterday, police said.

On August 19, one Mahendra M Sindhi was arrested from the Mahavir jhopadpatti. On interrogation, he revealed the names of other four members.

The arrested accused have been identified as Raju alias Suresh Thakor, Dilip Vasava (of Netranj area in Bharuch), Bharat Damor and Mahesh Vasawa, police added.
