CGHS medicines scam unearthed, four arrested

New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) The Delhi police have unearthed a scam related to theft of huge quantity of medicines bought under the CGHS scam and their sale in the open market with the arrest of four people in this regard.

Mahesh, Satish Kumar, Gugan Ram and Sanjay Kumar were arrested for their involvment in the racket of stolen medicines and their sale in the open market through forged OPD slips and forged indent through CGHS.

The scam was unravelled after the Delhi Police, on August 2, arrested 42-year-old Mahesh from Kashmere Gate with a bag contain huge quantity of medicines having stamps of ''For CGHS supply not for sale''.

Mahesh led the police to Satish, a pharmacist in a Ashok vihar dispensary. Later, the Police arrested Gugan kumar, working as a peon in a Suraj Vihar dispensary, and Sanjay Kumar, working as a nursing assistant in Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.
