Call money rates rule steady at 6 per cent
Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) Call money rates ended steady at 6.00.6.10 per cent in an otherwise quiet trading at the Interbank Call Money market today.
The short-term interbank rates opened at 6.10-6.20 per cent in the morning, sharply lower as compared to previous close of 10.00- 15.00 per cent.
The call rates had quoted higher at 55 per cent on last Friday, due to last minute rush by banks, for funds to follow the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) requirement on the reporting Friday.
The call rates, however, held steady most part of the day today, dealers said.
