AP approves Rs 3.65 cr for stepping up CM security
Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today approved the State Police chief's proposal to step up security for Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at a cost of Rs 3.65 crore per annum.
In a post-cabinet briefing here, Information Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy said assessing the threat perception, the State Director General of Police had proposed a security cover with 338 police personnel of various ranks and the Cabinet approved the same.
The 338 personnel who would provide security to the Chief Minister included Two Additional Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police and 244 constables, he added.
