Spl Court asks accused to make submission on sentence

Coimbatore, Aug 20 (UNI) The Special Court, hearing the sensational Coimbatore serial bomb blast case, today asked five of the accused to make their submissions on the sentence.

Judge K Uthirapathy also ordered the five accused to present themselves before the Court on September 28.

The accused, Samsuddin, Kichan Pugary, Ayyappan, Abdul Salim and Ummer, prayed before the Court to release them as they had been in prison for the last nine years.

They also requested the Judge to not to impose fine on them.

The hearing was postponed to tomorrow due to the demise of Madras High Court Additional Judge Veeraraghavan.
