Aggarwal Samaj forms Sh Banarsi Dass Gupta Foundation

New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi today, the Aggarwal Samaj of the country has founded 'Shri Banarsi Dass Gupta Foundation' to realise the dreams of the late leader.

A delegation of Aggarwal Samaj led by Mr Ajay Gupta son of veteran freedom fighter and former Haryana Chief Minister Banarsi Dass Gupta today called on Congress President Sonia Gandhi and apprised her of the objectives of the Foundation.

He said the Foundation would further the ideals and works of Rajiv Gandhi and Mr B D Gupta.

Of the works, the Foundation will lay a special emphasis on computer education in rural areas.

On behalf of the Foundation, Mr Ajay Gupta presented a cheque for Rs one lakh to Mrs Gandhi for the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

Later, medicines and clothes were sent on behalf of the Foundation to the social organisation 'Rachnatmak Bharat' run by noted Gandhian Ms Nirmla Deshpande for the benefit of flood affected people of Bihar.
