Mishap kills 4 in Madhya Pradesh

Hoshangabad, MP, Aug 19: Four people were killed on the spot and six injured after a jeep rammed a stationary truck this morning near this district's Pawarkheda, police said.

The jeep was carrying pilgrims who hailed from Maharashtra's Akola and were returning from a religious fair in Pachmarhi.

The decased were identified as Dileep Thakre, Jagan, Gajanan -- who were in the jeep -- and truck cleaner Bhaironsingh who was changing a punctured tyre. Sanjay Wade, Nandu Kamthe, Sanjay, Dayaram Namdev, Nilesh and Suresh Madhu Dawde were undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
