Left playing double standards over Indo-US nuclear pact: Tomar

Bhopal, Aug 19 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar has alleged that the Left parties were adopting double standard over the Indo-US Nuclear pact.

In a statement here today, Mr Tomar blamed the Left of misleading the public and giving proof of their opportunism by opposing the deal.

He alleged that the UPA Government had destroyed the independent foreign policy laid down by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Mr Tomar pointed out that the Left, along with the Congress had bowed down before the US. This was clear with the clause in the 123 agreement regarding not conducting nuclear test.

He charged the Prime Minister with surrendering the country's self-respect and dignity.

Mr Tomar added that the BJP's suspicions regarding the agreement has proved to be true.
