UBI to open more ATMs in Chennai
Chennai, Aug 18 (UNI) Union Bank of India (UBI) will open four more ATMs in the city.
Out of the four, three ATMs would come up in railway premises at Chennai railway station, Pondicherry and Kancheepuram, bank officials said today.
In addition, the bank would enhance cash tree arrangements with ten banks in its network.
The bank also introduced the new system of instant issuance of both debit card and pin (ready kit) to the customers immediately on opening of the account, where they can start using the card from the next working day.
The bank had initiated steps to popularise the 'ready kits' by issuing debit cards to all existing customers.
Mobile top up, air ticketing, railway ticketing through ATMs would be popularised during the current year, the officials added.
