Precious metals recover slightly

Mumbai, Aug 18: Both the precious metals today recovered slightly on good demand as silver rose by Rs 15 per kg and gold by Rs 60 per ten gm, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 16,960 (16,945), Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,850 (8,790) Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,900 (8,840)
