PCA AGM to be held tomorrow at Mohali
Chandigarh, Aug 18 (UNI) The 58th annual general body meeting of the Punjab Cricket Association will be held tomorrow at the Dhruv Pandove Conference Hall of the PCA Cricket Stadium in Mohali.
Besides, discussing the annual agenda of passing the annual accounts, annual report and other regular items, the member will also discuss the extension and renovation of PCA Stadium so as to make it ideally suitable for the next World Cup to be held in Asia in 2011.
The PCA is likely to host important matches of World Cup to be held at PCA Stadium, Mohali and for this purpose the facilities for players, media, visiting foreign guests and the pectators needs to be upgraded suitable for an event like Cricket World Cup.
The members will also discuss the strengthening and improvements in the on going Regional Cricket coaching Centers of PCA being run at District Head Quarters of the State.
The association will also honour and award prizes to the members of the Punjab State Under 15 and Under 17 teams, which have won the National Championships in the year 2006-2007.
The awards instituted for best senior cricketer of the year and junior cricketer of the year and best and 2nd best districts (on the basis of their performance in the inter-district championships) will also be given.
