Four killed in Marine helicopter crash in Arizona
PHOENIX, Aug 17 (Reuters) A US Marine search and rescue helicopter crashed over southwest Arizona, killing four sailors and injuring one, military authorities said today.
The HH-1N ''Huey'' helicopter was reported missing on Thursday afternoon while on a routine training flight near the Yuma Proving Grounds close to the California state line, First Lt Rob Dolan told Reuters.
Rescue workers located the helicopter overnight. Three Marines and one Navy sailor were pronounced dead at the scene, and one Marine was flown to hospital where he remains in stable condition, Dolan said.
He said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
