CM concerned over delay in work for proposed Science City

Hyderabad, Aug 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today expressed concern over the delay in commencing the ground work for the proposed Science City here.

The Chief Minister conveyed his anguish to the promoters -- Springfield Land Corporation and Jurang India, when they met him here, to identify and start purchasing the land.

The promoters agreed to purchase the land directly from the farmers by giving them market price in order to prevent brokers from coming in the way and complaints in this regard.

Asking the promoters to immediately purchase the land and start the groundwork as per the MoU signed, Dr Reddy told them to avoid middlemen and also speculation in purchasing the land.

He said this should be strictly adhered to so as to ensure that farmers get the correct price for their land.
