Class six student beaten to death by principal

Barrackpore, Aug 18 (UNI) In a gruesome incident of corporal punishment, a class six student was allegedly beaten to death by the principal of Navodaya Vidyalaya here yesterday, police said today.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

An FIR had been lodged with Ghola police station by the victim's uncle, who alleged that his nephew Suman was not only beaten with a stick but was also kicked.

The accused was absconding, police said, adding that the investigation was on.

Recently, a lady teacher in Jaipur, Rajasthan, had beaten to death a class 12 student and was at large.
