CBI issues notice to Dera chief

Sirsa, Aug 18 (UNI) The CBI today issued a notice to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, asking him to appear on August 31 in the CBI court at Ambala which was hearing two cases of murder and a rape case involving him.

A CBI team arrived from Delhi and served the notice on the Dera chief. The team was led by Inspector K S Negi.

The CBI had earlier filed a chargesheet in the Ambala court in which the Dera chief had been made an accused in the conspiracy behind the murder of Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati and former Dera employee Ranjit Singh and a case of sexual exploitation against a woman disciple.
