APCC plans mass-contact programme

Hyderabad, Aug 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president K Keshava Rao today said, the party had drawn a three-phase mass contact programme 'Indiramma Sambaralu' from September one.

Speaking at a press conference here, he said ''under the first phase 'Intinta Indiramma', starting from September one to 15, the party workers, led by local MLAs and Indiramma village committees, would meet the beneficiaries selected for Indiramma Phase two and complete the documentation wherever possible''.

The party workers and village committee members would also meet the pensioners to help them getting the pensions promptly.

Under the Second phase 'Indiramma Sambaralu' starting from September 20 to 26, the government would hand over the sanction proceedings to the beneficiaries at mandal headquarters on the designated day.

During the third phase -'Indiramma Gruhapraveshalu'- to be organised from October two to 21, house warming ceremony of 16 lakh house would be performed.

The PCC team, led by MLAs, would visit every house and issue certificates of occupancy.

He said, the party had also decided to involve party workers in the government programmes during the next two years.

The Government had constructed 19 lakh houses of the targeted 75 lakh for the poor in the state.

It would sanction additional 35 lakh pensions with a target of providing 50 lakh pensions during the period, he said.
