40 VHP activists released by Court

Hubli, Aug 18 (UNI) First Additional District and Sessions Court today ordered the release of 40 Vishwa Hindu Parishat activists as the prosecution failed to prove the charges about their involvement in violence during Platinum Jubilee of VHP leader Ashok Singhal birth anniversary in 2001.

The released included Rashitriya Hindu Sena Chief Pramod Mutalik, Vilas Pawar of Maharashtra and others who were charge sheeted by the police accusing them of creating trouble during the celebrations.

UNI
