Hyderabad, Aug 17: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) President K Chandrasekar, MP, today ruled out mid-term poll to the Lok Sabha while charging the Left parties with being 'soft' towards the Congress-led UPA Government even after it was allegedly shown the door by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Addressing a press conference here, the former Union Labour Minister wondered why the Left parties continued to support the UPA Government even after they were 'kicked out.' Charging the Left parties with pursuing 'opportunistic' politics, he asked how could the CPI(M) have political understanding with the Congress at the Centre on the one hand and 'ties' with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

He alleged that the ruling Congress was playing a 'cruel joke' with the Telangana people with Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who had fought for takeover of the Nizam Sugar mills during the previous TDP regime, remaining silent now even as the party MLCs were agitating for takeover of the mills by the government.

As and when the separate Telangana state was formed, the mills would be taken over by the Government, he asserted.
