Sixth Pay Commission to submit its report by April 4, 2008

New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) The sixth Pay Commission is expected to submit its report within the stipulated date of April 4, 2008, said Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.

He said the government will consider implementation of the report thereafter. Since the report is expected within the stipulated date, no interim relief is planned.

Mr Bansal said the Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACOS) introduced by the governemnt for Central Government civilian employees is to be implemented by each Ministry/Department with regard to employees working under its control. No specific instance of non-implementation of second Assured Career Progression Scheme, in accordance with the provisions of the ACP scheme has been reported to the Department of Personnel and Training, he added.
